Spent a great evening photographing Pat Monahan and Jimmy Stafford known as the band Train. Shooting a live concert is a lot of fun. Since I do a lot of work in a controlled studio or set environment, it's a nice change capturing life as it happens. Shooting a dynamic event in low light is an excellent test for how well you know your equipment. Pat and Jimmy are great guys and very gracious backstage to fans.
One of my favorite things about the Pacific Northwest is the incredible mosses, lichen and fungi that live in the temperate rain forests. Living in the Great Basin desert in Utah doesn't allow for a lot of opportunity to see such verdant greenness and amazing heterotrophs such as this shelf fungus. I'm all out of big words now.
